The Boyfriend App ❥ Short Book Review

The Boyfriend AppThe Boyfriend App by Katie Sise
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book was so much FUN!
It consisted of a bunch of things I absolutely adore- a genuine heroine, a super-cute crush-worthy guy and some awesome techy stuff!

The story itself was extremely interesting and cute and got me hooked till the very small hours of the night. The drama was seriously never-ending and I felt like just as one problem got solved, 2 others popped up- there was no dull moment in this entire book!
I absolutely loved Audrey’s character- she was extremely relatable and awkward in just the right way, but my favorites would probably have to be Lindsey- the total fashion obsessed teen with the huge heart and Aidan- who can resist a socially awkward, genius, hot guy?!

Overall, this was a really fast-paced read for me and is a total must read if you’re into young romance with a dash of a technological twist! 🙂

Release Me by J. Kenner ❥ Short Book Review

Release Me (Stark Trilogy, #1)Release Me by J. Kenner
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book was genuinely awesome. It was very well written and the overall story was extremely enjoyable!

I loved Nikki’s character and her complexities, they felt real.

I honestly found this book unique- which is quite something nowadays.
I’m not going to lie and say that it didn’t resemble Fifty Shades or Bared to You at all, but the similarities weren’t overwhelming or made it boring, I just loved it just as much as I loved those 2.

If you’re a fan of this genre- this book is totally worth a shot.

Radiant (Unearthly #2.5) by Cynthia Hand ❥ Short Book Review

Radiant (Unearthly, #2.5)Radiant by Cynthia Hand
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Since I loved Unearthly and Hallowed so much, I decided to go ahead and purchase this ebook on amazon (which was the cheapest at around 2$).

This novella is focused mainly on Angela and her secret boyfriend in Italy. Clara is there as well, obviously, but it barely mentions her and really focuses on Angela’s and Phen’s story.
It was cute, I got to give it that, and no surprise- Cynthia’s writing was beautiful, but since I’m not a huge fan of Angela, I didn’t enjoy it as much as I would have liked. Still a nice and quick read that will hold me off until Boundless comes out in paperback, though.

Overall, You’ll like this novella if you’re a fan of Unearthly, but it’s not a must-read in my opinion.

Fever by Dee Shulman ❥ Short Book Review

FeverFever by Dee Shulman
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I’m not a huge fan of writing negative book reviews, but I was really excited about getting this book and just want to put my honest opinion about it out there. This honestly was not the best book I’ve read recently, not even close.
The storyline was average- most of it could be seen from a mile away so really there was no surprise.
The writing was okay, but nothing phenomenal that will make me super excited to read the sequel, which is probably why I would not end up reading it.
I felt like the story ended on a final note- no cliffhanger or anything that will make me jump out of my seat in anticipation for what’s next to come.
Bottom line, an okay read, but nothing outstanding.

Destroy Me (Shatter Me #1.5) by Tahereh Mafi ❥ Short Book Review

Destroy Me (Shatter Me, #1.5)Destroy Me by Tahereh Mafi
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I could not help but fall in love with Warner while reading Shatter Me, so getting to see his point of view in this book was amazing! Destroy Me takes place right where Shatter Me left off and focuses on Warner’s search for Juliette.
In this novella we get to see into Warner’s deepest, darkest secrets and see deeper into his character than we did in Shatter Me.

If you liked Shatter Me- there is no doubt in my mind that you’ll enjoy this quick read to pass the time till Unravel Me finally comes out in February! And if you haven’t read it yet- what the heck are you waiting for?! GO READ IT NOW!

P.S. Can’t write a review for this book without mentioning the GORGEOUS cover!! I loveee. <;3

Dash and Lily’s Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan ❥ Short Book Review

Dash & Lily's Book of DaresDash & Lily’s Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan
My rating: 4.5 of 5 stars

When this book comes to mind, the only word i think of is CUTE.
This book was truely adorable!

This isn’t the typical genre i go for in books, but I couldn’t help but love it! The caracters were great: relatable, funny and witty. I loved how I could really seperate the two characters’ personas through the story; the writing was what made this book unforgettable- each author developped a character and just made each one their own!

Overall- i LOVED it! alot! and I highly recommend picking it up if you are looking for a fun, quick read 🙂

Scent of Magic (Healer #2) by Maria V. Snyder ❥ Short Book Review

Scent of Magic (Healer, #2)Scent of Magic by Maria V. Snyder
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I LOVED this book so much! Touch of Power left me wanting to read the next book asap so I read them both back-to-back in just a couple days!

Maria’s writing is PHENOMENAL! There is a reason why she is my favorite author!
I really enjoyed every second of the story and couldn’t find a single dull moment throughout the entire book.
The insane cliffhanger at the end leaves me both angry at Maria and thinking she is a freaking genius.

Buttom line- The Healer series is FANTASTIC and I could not have asked for a better sequel to the equally amazing Touch of Power!

Read the first 3 chapters for free!

Recently I have been feeling like I was in some kind of a reading rut. All the books I read the past few months have been kind of similar- either dystopian, angel-related or just plain old fantasy, all sort of repeating themselves and/or each other. Going into reading Harken, I didn’t have the biggest expectations; I expected it to be good, even great- but not as excellent as it actually ended up being.

As you can probably tell by most of the books I’ve read in the last couple of months- I am on an insane dystopian kick. Picking up this title was a no brainer for me. I figured it would be similar to The Maze Runner, which it sort of was- but I didn’t expect it to be this enjoyable.

Before I started reading this book, I didn’t know what to expect- I haven’t read a whole lot of books about fallen angels (or Nephilim) before this one and I was completely new to this genre. As soon as I started reading Unearthly, thought- I fell in love.
